Laser skin treatments

Carbon laser facial - £50

A carbon laser peel is a superficial treatment that helps with acne, enlarged pores, oily skin, and uneven skin tone. They're sometimes called carbon laser facials. Despite the name, a carbon laser peel isn't a traditional chemical peel. Instead, your practitinor uses a carbon solution and lasers to create a peeling effect.

Thread vein removal

We use an Intense Pulsed Light or IPL machine to precisely target pulses of extremely bright light at the thread veins. A specific light or wavelength of light is used that is absorbed by the blood vessels due to the red colour of the blood (haemoglobin) within, meaning that it is not absorbed by surrounding skin or hair. By only targeting the light at the blood within the thread veins, this results in the delivery of heat causing the blood within to coagulate, and the vessels to become damaged or destroyed and be gradually absorbed by the body, healing and removing the thread veins swiftly.

Skin rejuvenation

The light works to target specific skin structures known as ‘chromophores’, including thread veins, dark pigmentation, acne, melasma, rosacea, papules and cysts. The heat of the device serves to encourage collagen production, cleanse the pores and prevent free radical damage which can lead to aging.

Acne clearance

The light emitted from the Intense Pulsed Light system directly targets overactive sebaceous glands, greatly reducing the total number and severity of active lesions, and lessening the inflammation and occurrence of break-outs. The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture, and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.

Wrinkle reduction

IPL Phototherapy is a great treatment for mild wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment causes a process beneath the skin called neocollagenesis which is where loose collagen is destroyed, removed, and replaced with new collagen layers which are much tighter.
